Conceived by Gilbert Ravel in the 1950s-1960s, the Calotte service finds its origin in a signature piece: the crew plate, a deep plate designed and manufactured for the sailors of Marseille. From this robust and functional base, Gilbert Ravel developed a complete service, combining maritime heritage and timeless elegance.
The service consists of flat, deep, and dessert plates, supplemented by round and oval dishes, as well as salad bowls of different sizes. Both modern and historical, it naturally integrates into all interiors, from the most traditional to the most contemporary.
The manufacturing respects the artisanal expertise passed down within our factory: the plates and bowls are "pressed," ensuring their durability and consistency, while the dishes are stamped or hand-calibrated in our plaster workshop. Each piece thus bears the mark of the artisan's hand and the rigor of a century-old tradition.
Now offered in white, green, and honey, the Calotte service is appealing for its simplicity and versatility. A legacy of the sea and Provence, it perfectly illustrates the meeting between daily use and heritage.
